SUMMARY:Public Sector Digest - Analyzing Traffic Congestion & Policy Solutions for Canadian Municipalities Webinar
DESCRIPTION:PSD Open Webinar \nCities across Canada are experiencing unparalleled gridlock\, leading to increases in pollution\, obstruction of business operations\, diminished quality of life for commuters\, and contributing to the deterioration of municipal infrastructure. While common policy solutions\, such as road expansion and adjusting traffic signal re-timing\, have been well researched\, these types of solutions have proven to be too costly for cities\, highly unpopular among voters\, or in some cases have accomplished little in alleviating the overall problem of traffic congestion. \n Together with project partners City of Vancouver\, City of Surrey\, and TransLink\, PSD’s research team has completed a study analyzing the economic\, social\, and environmental costs of traffic congestion for Canadian cities\, with an in-depth look at defining congestion and the efficacy of new innovative policies and solutions to combat this significant problem.  \n Please join us as we discuss and expand on our findings of congestion and congestion reduction initiatives across Canada. \nClick Here to Register
