Contract full-time Advisor role supporting Water and Wastewater Asset Management in strategic infrastructure planning, asset lifecycle management, and compliance with ISO 55000 standards and Ontario Regulation 588/17. Reports to Manager, Water & Wastewater Asset Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead asset management improvement initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership and Council
- Review and analyze capital and operating budget submissions for alignment with long-term infrastructure requirements and asset management priorities
- Develop and maintain decision-support systems and long-term financial forecasting models for utility rates and infrastructure investment planning
- Develop asset risk, criticality, reliability, and failure mode assessments frameworks in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain asset hierarchy, inspection, condition assessment, and performance management standards and methodologies
Qualifications
- Level 1 Criminal Record Check from police station
- Undergraduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field plus minimum 5 years water/wastewater experience (or equivalent combination)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Designation with Professional Engineers of Ontario (asset)
- Asset Management certification or relevant professional certification such as IAM certificate/diploma, PMP, or six sigma (asset)
- Advanced written communication skills and extensive knowledge of infrastructure planning and water/wastewater treatment processes
