Assessment Appraiser position in Corporate Revenue division under the supervision of a Senior Assessment Appraiser. Conducts property appraisals, defends assessments, and participates in appeals processes in accordance with provincial and municipal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assess property values by conducting inspections and applying property attributes and valuation models per provincial statutes
Review and analyze sold properties and respond to information requests with necessary follow-up
Develop valuation parameters, table values, models and rates by analyzing statistical data for all property types
Prepare and maintain field records including sketches, diagrams and relevant data in various formats
Participate in assessment appeals process by gathering and presenting evidence to the Board of Revision and Saskatchewan Municipal Board
Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary real property assessment program
Possession of License (LAAS) through the Saskatchewan Assessment Appraisers Association
Five years progressively complex experience in assessment appraisal or a related field
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence with current safe driving record
Successful completion of post-secondary coursework in report writing or demonstrated ability to write reports
