This permanent role leads the development and implementation of asset management programs for Mississauga's Enforcement Division, overseeing vehicles, technology, equipment and operational assets across eight service areas. The Specialist provides strategic leadership through lifecycle planning, governance frameworks, and performance measures to support operational readiness and effective resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and implementation of asset management strategies, policies, governance frameworks and performance measures for the Division
Develop lifecycle plans, replacement forecasts, multi-year asset plans and budget forecasts to support investment decisions
Implement and oversee asset management systems, inventories and registries to ensure accurate tracking and accountability
Develop performance dashboards and management reports; analyze financial, utilization and lifecycle data to identify optimization opportunities
Lead stakeholder engagement and cross-functional initiatives with Finance, Procurement, IT and operational partners
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Asset Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Information Technology, or related discipline
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in asset management, program development, inventory management, fleet coordination, logistics, or related field
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing asset management policies, governance frameworks and lifecycle strategies
Experience with asset management systems such as SAP, fleet management information systems or IT asset-tracking tools
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
