Administrative and technical role in the Civic Projects Division involving project liaison, coordination of design and construction work for civic buildings and facilities, preparation of reports and specifications, and field inspection. Key Responsibilities

  • Project liaison and coordination of design and construction work for civic buildings and facilities
  • Preparation of reports, project specifications, schedules, budgets, and related documents
  • Field inspection of work performed
  • Assistance to supervisor in management of specific projects
  • Management of reports, records, and correspondence using SAP and PMWeb

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Building Technology from an Institute of Technology, including or supplemented by project management courses, plus sound related experience or equivalent combination
  • Thorough knowledge of building costs, materials, methods and practices
  • Considerable knowledge of architectural design and construction principles and engineering practices
  • Considerable knowledge of zoning and related municipal legislation
  • Ability to act as liaison and coordinator for design and construction projects such as fire stations, animal shelters, stadiums and community centres

70 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (Nine-Day Fortnight)
