Full-time temporary 12-month Business Transformation Consultant role in Toronto's Technology Services Division supporting business analysis, process design, and technology modernization initiatives for City services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare business cases, project charters, concept documentation, and project plans for City initiatives
  • Document, analyze business processes, requirements, costs, and conduct workflow analysis and business process modelling
  • Provide requirements definitions, cost estimations, environmental scans, process models and technology roadmaps across all project stages
  • Conduct analyses to measure effectiveness of technology solutions and service delivery methods; make recommendations on business process changes
  • Design or modify business processes using BPMN standard and technology solutions; conduct feasibility studies on technology and process integration

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, computer sciences, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, requirements elicitation and documentation, RFQ/RFP/RFI contribution, and business process analysis, improvement, modelling and implementation
  • Experience in stakeholder management with ability to influence and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills applicable across multiple media and diverse audiences
  • Superior analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work in ambiguous environments and think critically to challenge status quo
