Summer student position reporting to the Recreation/Culture Coordinator to assist in planning, operation, delivery, administration and evaluation of Town of Oakville Camp Programs. Responsibilities include supervising Senior Leaders and Playleaders, ensuring health and safety compliance, and managing on-site administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and supervise camp programs; train and evaluate Senior Leaders and Playleaders
Arrive early to ensure site readiness and programs start on time
Ensure continuing safety of participants and staff; document accidents and incidents immediately
Supervise and evaluate program design and delivery against department policies and HIGH FIVE principles
Resolve emergencies, incidents, and behaviour issues beyond Senior Leader scope; coordinate distribution of program materials and supplies

Qualifications

Confirmation of full-time student status in current academic year and/or acceptance into full-time studies the following September
Must attend all mandatory training sessions as a condition of employment
