About this job

Summer student position reporting to full-time Town staff and Camps Area Coordinators. The Senior Leader – Inclusion assists in operating and delivering Town of Oakville camp programs, with focus on inclusion and supervision of campers with exceptionalities, including teenagers with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-line service and program delivery with daily monitoring through staff, volunteer, and participant interactions
  • Manage daily staff contact, program quality, on-site safety, and facility conditions
  • Lead emergency or critical incident response in absence of Camp Coordinator or full-time staff
  • Actively participate in daily planning and delivery of programs; ensure continuing safety of all participants, staff, and volunteers
  • Resolve behaviour and conduct issues; report and document all health and safety incidents immediately

Qualifications

  • Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR C Certificate (within 3 years, valid until September 4, 2027)
  • Behaviour Management Systems Training (BMS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment
  • HIGH FIVE – Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector check dated within 60 days of employment offer
  • Must provide confirmation of full-time student status in current academic year and/or acceptance into full-time studies the following September
