Part-time summer student position assisting with operation and delivery of Town of Oakville camp programs. Senior Leader reports to full-time staff and Camp Coordinator, managing front-line program delivery, staff supervision, safety, and participant interactions from May-September 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-line service and daily program delivery with staff, volunteer, and participant monitoring
  • Daily staff contact, program quality assurance, on-site safety, and facility condition oversight
  • Lead emergency or critical incident response in absence of Camp Coordinator or full-time staff
  • Plan, facilitate, and evaluate programs; train Playleaders and Inclusion Support Workers
  • Document and report all health, safety, and incident-related issues; resolve staff and participant conduct matters

Qualifications

  • Current (within 3 years) Intermediate First Aid with CPR C Certificate from WSIB-approved agency, valid until September 4, 2027
  • HIGH FIVE - Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) Certification
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector check (VSC) dated within 60 days of employment offer
  • Confirmation of full-time student status in current academic year or acceptance into full-time studies the following September
  • Genuine interest in working with children of all ages (preschool-school age)
