Key Responsibilities
Perform facility janitorial duties
Monitor boilers, furnaces, hot water heaters, and air handling equipment; report mechanical problems
Perform minor building maintenance and repairs
Handle, apply, and store chemical-based cleaning agents safely per health and safety requirements
Respond to facilities-related service requests including furniture moves, room setup, and deliveries
Qualifications
Grade 10 or GED equivalent combined with caretaking experience
Fireman's Certificate (required for City Hall and Engineering and Works Facilities)
One-man lift certification (required for Recreation Facilities)
Knowledge of janitorial work and routine caretaking services
Knowledge of safe handling and storage of chemical-based cleaning agents
