Full-time temporary consultant (up to 2 years) in the Homelessness Operational Supports and Projects Unit to research and communicate social services legislation, provide expert advice on policy implementation, develop operational guidelines, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Research, interpret and communicate social services legislation, policy and procedure
Provide expert advice and support implementation of legislative changes
Develop and implement operational guidelines, best practices and standards for social services delivery
Ensure business applications, systems, directives and policy initiatives comply with applicable legislation
Interact with internal staff, other government levels, municipalities and community partners
Qualifications
Completion of 4-year university degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in human services field including business applications and legislation interpretation
Knowledge of social policy regulations and provincial/municipal legislation
Strong verbal communication, presentation, writing and analytical abilities
Project management principles and practices
