Co-op student position supporting water and wastewater treatment operations by assisting with SCADA systems maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities
Provide support services for SCADA systems in Region's water and wastewater facilities
Update control narratives, write, test and commission PLC programming and HMI programming including graphics, alarming, and reporting systems
Troubleshoot and correct Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software, SLC 5/05s, CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and Aveva InTouch systems
Support updating and maintenance of SCADA Standards through research and development of new technologies
Support and maintain network architecture drawings for water, wastewater, waste management and Biosolids facilities
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in post-secondary co-op program in Automation Systems Engineering Technology or equivalent
Effective written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Ability to read, interpret and develop process control narratives from drawings and schematics
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office
