Part-time Counselor for Inclusive Recreation assists with delivery of Therapeutic Recreation and Life Skills Day Programs for adults with disabilities across Ottawa's recreation facilities and venues.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with all functions relating to delivery of Therapeutic Recreation/Life Skills Day Program
Lead small groups
Provide client care
Support individuals with disabilities in recreation programming

Qualifications

College diploma in related field or equivalent experience with Special Needs clients
Minimum 1 to 3 years related experience with Adults with Disabilities
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
Comfort level and expertise with different disability groups

At a glance

Part-time Continuous Positions – up to 24 hours per week
