Diesel Rail Operator position responsible for safe operation and movement of trains on the Trillium Line, including operating diesel rail vehicles in accordance with Canadian Railway Operating Rules, customer service, and vehicle testing.
Key Responsibilities
Operate diesel rail vehicles on Trillium Line in accordance with CROR and Transit Services policies
Provide customer service onboard vehicles and on platforms
Test vehicles and recover from minor on-board vehicle failures
Make customer announcements and exercise judgement under various conditions
Assist with customer events and inquiries
Qualifications
Grade 12 education
Minimum 6 months Transit experience including transit services, routes, policies and procedures
Demonstrated customer service experience with direct public contact
Experience in high-volume, high-demand operational environment
Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver's licence with no more than 6 demerit points
