Division Chief leads strategic technology services for Toronto Fire Services, overseeing mission-critical systems, technology teams, and modernization initiatives to support operational and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for planning, delivery, modernization and continuous improvement of technology services and infrastructure
- Lead, develop and transform multidisciplinary technology teams in a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Develop and implement technology strategies, roadmaps and governance frameworks aligned with divisional priorities
- Oversee complex technology projects, programs and modernization initiatives with effective planning and risk management
- Oversee mission-critical systems including communications, operational technology, business applications and networks to ensure reliability and security
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience
- Extensive experience providing strategic leadership of technology services and implementing enterprise technology strategies
- Extensive experience leading and transforming large, diverse technology teams with Agile methodologies
- Considerable experience leading complex, large-scale technology projects including project and change management
- Considerable experience overseeing mission-critical technology systems and IT service management
