Engineering Assistant III who creates and maintains sewer infrastructure construction drawings and as-built information using GIS/AutoCAD, performs survey work, and provides technical information to internal and external stakeholders regarding the City's sewage and drainage network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates sewer design construction drawings using GIS/AutoCAD/TopoBase
  • Updates GIS as-built information
  • Researches and provides technical information regarding sewer and water infrastructure to public, city staff, and private companies
  • Undertakes quality control processes related to existing GIS data
  • Carries out survey work to collect as-built field information and confined space entry procedures

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 supplemented by technical courses or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience preparing AutoCAD construction drawings in Civil 3D
  • Good knowledge of municipal design and construction of sewer systems
  • Knowledge of surveyor methods and techniques
  • Proficiency in TopoBase, Hansen, AutoCAD Map 3D, and Civil 3D
