Enterprise Technical Support Specialist role managing IT asset lifecycle, compliance, and optimization across the City of Toronto. Reports to Management Consultant in Asset Management unit and supports hardware/software asset governance, inventory management, and ITIL-aligned processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze enterprise hardware and software assets, monitor compliance, and reconcile against licenses, support agreements, and vendor documentation
  • Conduct proactive asset management activities and liaison with divisional staff to ensure accurate asset data and compliance
  • Support planning, assessment, procurement, deployment, and disposal of hardware and software assets
  • Maintain asset records and reporting, generate reports and dashboards for compliance and cost optimization
  • Conduct inventory audits, investigate asset-related issues, and assist in process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
  • Considerable experience in hardware and software asset management including lifecycle management and governance
  • Considerable experience using ServiceNow including asset management modules (HAM/SAM) and reporting
  • Considerable experience creating and analyzing asset reports, investigating discrepancies
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams under time constraints
