Equipment Operator III position in Regina's Sewer & Drainage Operations Branch operating heavy mobile and stationary equipment such as hydro-vac units, front-end loaders, and steam boilers, with responsibility for equipment maintenance and employee training.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Class III equipment including hydro-vac units, front-end loaders, steam boilers safely and efficiently
Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs on assigned equipment
Operate high-pressure boilers and thaw frozen water assets during winter months
Read and interpret water linear system drawings and operational information
Provide field locates for water infrastructure and train other employees as required
Qualifications
Minimum 2000 hours experience as Skilled Labourer in Water or Sewer Operations with demonstrated Class III equipment operation ability
Must obtain Level 1 Operator Certification under Saskatchewan Water or Wastewater Works Operator Certification Standard within one year
Thorough knowledge of operation, care, mechanics, and routine maintenance of water and sewer Class III equipment
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy work of physical nature in sustained periods and inclement conditions
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision
