Part-time Fleet Support Person role with Paramedic Services in Waterloo Region, providing vehicle maintenance, refueling, sanitization, and equipment management for ambulances and emergency response vehicles. Up to 24 hours per week with varied shifts including weekends and statutory holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Refuel, clean, sanitize, and restock ambulances and emergency response vehicles; check and maintain vehicle and kit contents
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance including bulb replacements, fluid level checks, and air pressure adjustments
- Collect, charge, clean, and distribute depleted kits, defibrillators, and portable radios from incoming crews
- Replace oxygen cylinders and conduct bi-annual mandatory oxygen/suction equipment quality assurance
- Restock automated hospital replenishment points with supplies and medications; maintain computerized inventory
Qualifications
- Familiarity with medical supplies and equipment, normally acquired through grade 12 education and relevant experience
- Current immunization against tetanus and Hepatitis B
- General mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Valid G driver's license (or G2 with 3 years driving experience) with acceptable driving record
- Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check clearance; computer skills including Microsoft Office
