Peel Public Health seeks 2 Health Promoters to lead planning, execution, and evaluation of programs promoting mental health, active living, and reduced sedentary behaviour across the Region of Peel. The role involves community assessment, evidence-informed strategy development, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of health programs for mental health and active living
Conduct community needs and situational assessments to identify priorities
Develop tailored written and visual communications including social media, reports, and presentations
Collaborate with internal teams, community partners, and government organizations
Apply health promotion theory, population health, and social determinants of health in program development
Qualifications
University degree in a health-related field
At least 1 year of relevant experience in health promotion, program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation
Solid knowledge of public health sciences including population health, social determinants of health, and epidemiology
Understanding of health promotion frameworks and theories
Experience conducting situational assessments and scoping reviews
