Industrial Millwright/Operator responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of mechanical systems and equipment in water treatment, supply, storage, and wastewater facilities across multiple Ottawa locations. Key Responsibilities
Inspect, test, install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair process mechanical systems in water treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and wastewater facilities
Operate process equipment including pumps, motors, compressors, turbines, centrifuges, and chemical feed systems
Adjust water and wastewater treatment system process parameters in coordination with licensed operating staff
Manage crane, rigging and hoisting systems up to 5 tons
Perform work on pressurized, elevated, confined space and chemical storage equipment and systems
Qualifications
Completion of Industrial Millwright apprenticeship program (8000 hours)
Minimum 5 years experience as licensed Industrial Millwright in process-dependent industries and construction
Valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A
Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver's licence with no more than 6 demerit points
Valid Certified Cross Connection Control Specialist with Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA)
