The Innovation & Continuous Improvement Manager leads the ICI Section within Business Transformation, championing a culture of continuous improvement across the City and delivering measurable improvements to services, processes, and customer experience through quality management and innovative solutions including artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development, implementation, and continual improvement of ICI Section including standards, processes, tools, methodologies, training, and communication protocols aligned with corporate goals
Lead enterprise innovation and continuous improvement intake process to document, prioritize, govern, and align opportunities with corporate objectives
Establish and monitor benefits realization frameworks to ensure initiatives deliver measurable operational, financial, employee, and customer outcomes
Develop, maintain, and promote the City's Artificial Intelligence strategy, governance framework, standards, and adoption roadmap in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Lead and support assigned staff including hiring, work assignments, performance assessment, and disciplinary action
Qualifications
Degree in quality, business, process engineering, computational science, business or public administration or related discipline
Ten years' progressively responsible experience leading continuous improvement initiatives, including five years in a senior supervisory role
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement approaches such as Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Value Stream Mapping
Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing digital transformation, automation, artificial intelligence, or emerging technology initiatives
Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues in multi-disciplinary environments and manage conflict
