The City of Laval police service seeks an Inspector to lead the 911 Emergency Communications Centre (CCU), overseeing approximately 65 civil employees and handling over 250,000 emergency calls annually. Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct and monitor work of division employees reporting to inspector-chief
Manage operational and administrative activities within field of intervention while aligning service directions with field realities
Contribute to police service mission by analyzing criminal and social phenomena to align service offerings with citizen needs
Identify and implement strategic and tactical directions for sector; translate into clear priorities for teams
Represent service on internal/external committees and collaborate with institutional, municipal, governmental and community partners
Qualifications
University certificate in relevant domain such as administration, organizational development, management or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience as police management cadre
Experience managing large work teams considered an asset
