Part-time instructor to teach specialized aquafitness programming to participants in a safe manner while following certifying agency guidelines and departmental policies. Position based in various Ottawa locations with shifts spanning days, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Teach specialized aquafitness programming to participants safely and enjoyably
Follow certifying agency guidelines and corporate/departmental policies
Design and facilitate specialty fitness programs for diverse demographic needs
Demonstrate movement patterns and facilitate active fitness classes
Report to work in time to be ready at shift start
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 11
Current aquafitness instructor specialty certification (CALA, YM-YWCA, WaterART or equivalent)
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates
AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
Minimum 6 months aquafitness experience or equivalent apprenticeship
