Full-time Instrumentation and Control Technician for water operations at Mannheim Water Treatment Plant. Role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control equipment for water treatment and distribution systems, including SCADA programming and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

Install, operate, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment at remote sites; monitor and schedule predictive and preventive maintenance
Inspect, adjust, and repair existing equipment including pumps, chemical systems, UV equipment, and electrical control systems
Program, verify, and test operating software; ensure automated equipment meets regulatory requirements; act as Operator In Charge during upgrades
Maintain documentation including work orders, logs, maintenance records, wiring schematics, and P&IDs in computerized maintenance management system
Respond to urgent issues and perform emergency repairs on instrumentation, control, and electrical equipment

Qualifications

3-year college diploma in related field (e.g., Instrumentation, Electrical Control Systems) plus 4 years directly related experience
Valid Class II Water Distribution Certificate and Class II Water Treatment Certificate from MECP (or obtain within three years of hire)
Valid Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Instrument Mechanic (or obtain within five years of hire)
Current emergency first aid certification (or attain post-hire)
Knowledge of instrumentation, control, and electrical systems; water treatment and process systems; chemical systems including ammonia and chlorination
