Full-time permanent Cemetery Attendant/Equipment Operator II (Light) role under the Public Works Operations Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining cemetery grounds, locating and preparing burial plots, assisting the public, and operating light equipment when cemetery work is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cemetery grounds
- Locate, prepare and record burial plots and columbarium spaces
- Assist public and monument dealers with grave locations
- Operate equipment as Equipment Operator II (Light) when no cemetery work available
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to operate departmental equipment including trucks and tractor with mower
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Valid Class D driver's license with Z endorsement for air brake vehicles
- Demonstrated courteous and polite manner when dealing with the public
