Junior Engineer role in the Infrastructure & Water Services Department responsible for applying engineering knowledge to design solutions, identify and mitigate technical risks, support projects, and prepare reports in accordance with relevant legislation and design criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Apply engineering knowledge to design solutions and identify technical risks
Offer solutions to mitigate risks in accordance with relevant legislation and design criteria
Support assigned projects and participate in internal and external meetings
Provide professional expertise and advice to internal and external partners
Prepare various reports
Qualifications
Completion of 4-year Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum experience commensurate with completion of Professional Engineer license in Ontario
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
Knowledge of relevant legislation including Ontario Planning Act, Municipal Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Clean Water Act, Environmental Assessment Acts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
