Part-time permanent kitchen help position in Long-Term Care under the Manager of Dietary Services. Responsible for cleaning pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, operating dish machines, and assisting with food delivery and general kitchen duties.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload soiled and clean pots, pans, and cooking utensils for dish machines
Operate dish machines and monitor chemicals and temperature
Clean kitchen equipment, refrigerators, walls, and floors following posted cleaning duties
Assist with food delivery to each floor and kitchen supply management
Dispose of recyclable and disposable garbage and hand-wash non-machine-washable items
Qualifications
Successful completion of Grade 12 in Ontario or equivalent
Ability to speak, write, and understand English
Food Handler's Certificate
Completion of or enrollment in accredited Food Service Workers Certificate
Physically capable of performing all duties including heavy lifting and ability to work all shifts
