A permanent full-time Labour Relations Analyst position in the City of Saskatoon's Human Resources Department, conducting research and participating in labour relations activities including grievance resolution, arbitrations, and collective bargaining negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts research, compiles data, and summarizes decisions related to collective agreements, grievance investigations, arbitrations, and labour relations policies
  • Interprets collective agreements, HR procedures, and labour legislation; investigates and facilitates resolution of disputes and grievances
  • Assists with preparation for collective agreement negotiations and participates on negotiating teams
  • Acts as liaison between unions and management regarding union/management relations
  • Maintains record systems including grievance files, arbitration history, and Labour Relations Board rulings

Qualifications

  • Degree in commerce, business administration, or related field
  • One to three years related experience in human resources
  • Considerable knowledge of labour legislation
  • Knowledge of statistics and standard research techniques
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence
