Temporary 2-year legal assistant role providing administrative support and coordination for property acquisition initiatives within the Rapid Transit Program Office. Reports to the Supervisor of Capital Acquisition, Realty Services, managing documentation, records, and stakeholder communication in a fast-paced municipal transit project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for day-to-day realty operations supporting RTPO project initiatives
Monitor task completion, track deliverables for decision-making, and track approvals
Coordinate work of internal and external services (appraisers, planners, surveyors, engineers) required for property acquisitions
Manage and update property files, legal documents, deeds, agreements, records, and maintain filing systems
Monitor and reconcile budgets for assigned consultants, manage consultant activity logs, and monitor third-party contracts and invoices
Qualifications
Minimum post-secondary education
Minimum 2 years administrative experience in Legal/Realty field
Extensive property administration experience and superior records management skills
Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Advanced computer software knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel
