Licensed Millwright position in the Wastewater Services Division reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sewage Pumping Stations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, and related equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, analyze problems, and make repair or replacement recommendations
Respond to emergency equipment failures and coordinate with external contractors
Maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System and process work requests and orders
Perform welding, pipe fitting, rigging, and operational duties; ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable codes
Qualifications
Grade 12 Diploma and 4 years' maintenance experience (preferably in water or wastewater environment), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Wastewater Treatment OIT Certificate or obtain within 6 months of hire; Class I Wastewater Treatment exam with ability to obtain Class 1 License within 48 months
Valid Class G driver's license with good driving record
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel); knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act; excellent written and oral communication skills
