Key Responsibilities
Direct supervision and safety of pool patrons; ensure compliance with governing bodies
Address and correct unsafe or unruly behaviour; educate patrons on safe practices
Train lifeguard/instructors during shadow shifts and complete required paperwork
Develop lesson plans and instruct swim lessons to children and youth of all skill levels
Perform daily pool maintenance duties and recognize emergency signs with appropriate first aid response
Qualifications
LSS Swim Instructor certification
LSS National Lifeguard certification
Intermediate First Aid certification
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector and Child Services Intervention Check
Demonstrated lifeguarding and/or instructor abilities; experience directing children and youth
