Part-time Maintenance Helper position with City of Ottawa's Facility Operations department, responsible for operation and maintenance of City facilities across approximately 900 buildings. Role involves up to 24 hours per week with various day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform duties associated with operation and maintenance of City facilities
Maintain general facility cleanliness using appropriate cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
Apply safe work practices and cleaning techniques
Communicate effectively with public and staff
Work across assigned geographic and/or specialty areas within Facility Operations
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 10
Up to one month of related experience
Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates (assets)
Knowledge of WHMIS, applicable health and safety legislation, and cleaning chemicals
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
