Regular part-time maintenance person for Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre in Brampton, providing general maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep in a person-centered care environment. Reports to Facility Supervisor and works scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance duties and repairs
Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspect electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and fire safety equipment
Make preliminary diagnosis of building system malfunctions and refer major issues immediately
Pick up garbage and recyclable materials throughout the building and complete written daily reports
Move furniture and equipment, complete minor renovations, perform snow removal, and report health and safety hazards
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Minimum three (3) years' experience in general maintenance procedures
Ontario G Driver's license required for certain locations
Effective oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)
