Regular part-time Maintenance Person position with Peel Region Public Works, TransHelp to perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles under general supervision. Role includes daily inspections, fluid maintenance, equipment servicing, parts management, and vehicle pickup/delivery at the Mississauga location.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on TransHelp buses to Regional standards
Conduct daily inspection checks and maintain engine fluid levels and fueling
Maintain vehicle interior equipment including first aid kits, restraints, cleaning supplies, and logbooks
Manage replacement parts inventory and assist mechanic with vehicle repairs and servicing
Complete forms, reports, and input information into Fleet Management System; report safety hazards and equipment problems
Qualifications
Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English with working knowledge of computers
At least six months experience in general maintenance work and minor vehicle repairs
Must hold Ontario Vehicle Operator's Permit Class G in good standing
Must complete Propane Fueling Certification Training and Commercial Vehicle Operations Registrations (CVOR) training; minimum 3 years work-related experience required
