Manager of Construction Services for the City of Guelph's Engineering and Transportation Services Department, leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering roads, water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
Deliver engineering and transportation infrastructure construction program with quality control and project oversight
Manage team of professional engineers, project managers, coordinators, and construction support staff
Lead construction support services including inspections, surveying, and contract administration for up to 50 capital projects annually
Coordinate capital budget administration for linear infrastructure projects (~$50-$100M annual budget)
Liaise and negotiate with consultants, contractors, developers on engineering matters and maintain industry contact regarding standards
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Registered Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist with OACETT
Experience supervising staff and leading work teams
Knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal legislation/regulations related to municipal infrastructure
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
