Full-time management role at Sunnyside Home (Kitchener) overseeing professional practice, quality assurance, and internal investigations for a long-term care facility. Reports to senior management and supervises a team including Quality and Risk Coordinator, RAI team, Staff Education Coordinator, and Quality RPNs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, maintains, and evaluates internal investigative and quality management program for regulatory compliance and person-centred care
  • Performs and manages internal investigations of complaints and quality concerns, obtaining and analyzing evidence from resident documentation and other sources
  • Supervises Quality and Risk Coordinator, RAI team, Staff Education Coordinator, and Quality RPNs
  • Develops and implements quality improvement and best practice initiatives, including accreditation program support and continuous quality improvement
  • Oversees resident complaint management program, performs intake, communicates with complainants, and prepares quarterly/annual analysis and trend reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or equivalent education in Health Sciences disciplines plus related experience
  • Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse in Extended Class
  • Knowledge of resident care, gerontological nursing, psychogeriatric care, palliative care, and long-term care

At a glance

Full-time, 35 hours per week
Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm with on-call rotation participation
Union: Management/Management Support Grade 08
