MiWay is hiring 13 permanent Transit Mechanics to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on transit buses and non-revenue fleet vehicles in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs to MiWay Transit Fleet per Fleet Maintenance Section policy
Read and understand schematics related to transit fleet vehicles
Use laptop computers to diagnose electrical and electronic system faults
Undertake road call diagnosis and repair
Work on fleet vehicles in inclement weather conditions and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications
Valid 310T - Truck and Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification from Skilled Trades Ontario
Minimum five years combined experience as Apprentice and Journeyperson
Valid G Driver's License; D or C Ontario Driver's License with Z endorsement preferred
Grade 12 or Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or verified equivalent considered an asset
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
