About this job

Project Management Intern supporting the City of Guelph's Strategic Initiatives and Intergovernmental Services team for up to 6 months. The role provides technical and administrative support to project teams, maintains project tracking systems, and assists with implementing project management standards and continuous improvement initiatives across City departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support centralized framework, processes and tools for project and program management standards
  • Provide technical support to project managers using Planisware Orchestra project tracking tool
  • Support implementation of Project Management Policy and methodologies across City departments
  • Conduct studies including audits and pilot programs as directed
  • Track and research best practices and trends in project management for potential City application

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration or relevant field
  • Experience in a project management support role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with project management tracking software
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and project management systems such as Eclipse, SharePoint, or Power BI

  • Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
