Toronto Paramedic Services seeks two People Services Consultants to support employee well-being, workplace compliance, and organizational success through labour relations, disability management, return-to-work programs, and health and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and lead return-to-work, disability management, attendance management, workplace accommodation and health and safety programs
Provide recommendations on corporate and divisional policies, procedures and legislative regulations; implement compliance strategies
Analyze human resources issues and provide strategic direction on short- and long-term planning and program development
Identify training needs, recommend and implement development programs and initiatives
Provide advice on employee and labour relations matters, including collective agreement administration and employment legislation

Qualifications

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Disability Management, Health and Safety, or Employee and Labour Relations, or equivalent education and experience
Considerable experience developing and delivering human resource services in a large unionized or private sector organization
Comprehensive knowledge of Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Employment Standards Act, and Human Rights Code
Ability to design, develop and deliver formal training programs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication and conflict management skills
