Personal Support Worker position at Allendale Long Term Care Facility in Milton, providing personal care and activities of daily living to residents. Up to 16 hours per week, evenings (2:00 PM–10:00 PM), permanent role with OPSEU LTC union classification.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care for residents including activities of daily living
Communicate effectively with residents, staff and families
Observe and report changes in resident status and record data
Work cooperatively with nursing and personal care team members
Receive direction from registered staff and participate in quality improvement activities

Qualifications

Secondary School Graduation Diploma and Personal Support Worker Certificate from recognized college
Completion of PSW program listed on HSCPOA approved registry (July 1, 2014 or later) or current HSCPOA registration in good standing
Team oriented with excellent communication skills
Understanding of Residents' Bill of Rights and Ministry of Long-Term Care Compliance Standards
Ability to work independently, prioritize and adapt to resident needs
