Personal Support Worker position at Allendale Long Term Care Facility in Milton, providing care in activities of daily living to residents as part of the nursing and personal care team. Up to 16 hours per week, temporary contract up to 18 months, evening shifts (3:00 PM–11:00 PM).

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care for residents including activities of daily living
Communicate effectively with residents, staff and families
Observe and report changes in resident status in Point of Care
Record necessary data such as flow sheets
Receive direction from registered staff and work cooperatively with team members

Qualifications

Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized college, with completion date of July 1, 2014 or later, or current HSCPOA registration in good standing
Team oriented with excellent communication skills
Understanding of Residents' Bill of Rights and Compliance Standards
Ability to work independently, prioritize and adapt to resident needs
