Program Manager for Transit Maintenance at Ottawa Transit Services responsible for planning, developing, managing and implementing transit vehicle maintenance activities, materials management, and engineering support. Direct, coordinate and manage operations, programs and services in assigned Transit Maintenance Unit (Operations, Materials Management, or Operational Services)
Establish and maintain positive client relationships with internal and external management and stakeholders
Manage hiring, firing, performance management and discipline of staff
Provide leadership in establishment and implementation of Transit Maintenance strategies and priorities aligned to Branch and Department vision
Qualifications
Completion of 4-year university degree in Applied Science or Engineering with specialization in transportation and/or mechanical engineering or related field
Minimum 6 years experience managing an industrial maintenance operation of fleet
Experience managing major capital projects, financial and human resources
Experience working in a unionized work environment
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
