Project Engineer working within the Integrated Projects Branch of Engineering Services to advance engineering designs, construction planning, and implementation of City engineering assets through coordination with multiple departments, agencies, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Support development, monitoring and management of project work plans including scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, and resources
Prepare and maintain reports on project performance, schedule, scope, invoicing, change control, and financial management
Implement compliance with departmental Project Management Framework standards, guides, processes and templates
Prepare terms of reference for technical consulting services and manage tendering and selection processes
Contract administration and management of technical consultants for planning, design and implementation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineering Designation and minimum 4 years related experience in project management or engineering
Registration or eligibility for immediate registration as Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer in British Columbia
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage competing deadlines
Knowledge of civil engineering practices and ability to research, analyze, estimate, and present recommendations
Strong written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences including technical and non-technical stakeholders
