Project Manager for Linear Underground Infrastructure in Engineering & Construction Services, managing stormwater projects citywide with focus on design, construction, and technical expertise in municipal water resources and channel management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned stormwater projects and direct project team staff to meet deadlines
  • Gather and refine project scope, solicit consulting and contractor services, determine financial impact
  • Review and comment on technical drawings, engineering studies, specifications, plans and cost estimates
  • Provide technical advice and water resources analysis; evaluate and recommend new systems and technologies
  • Represent the City on committees, liaise with public, developers, consultants, stakeholders and government agencies

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in civil, environmental, water resources engineering or fluvial geomorphology, or equivalent education and experience
  • Considerable experience applying natural channel design principles to municipal public works infrastructure
  • Project management experience including planning, design and construction of municipal public works infrastructure
  • Valid Province of Ontario Class G Driver's License and access to vehicle
  • Ability to read, interpret and report on engineering plans, drawings, specifications and technical documents
