Project Manager I will support the Operation Services Branch's Yard Operations Team, managing cross-functional, multi-disciplinary integrated projects with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the adoption of the Engineering Department's project management framework.

Key Responsibilities

Support Yard Operations and Engineering Departments in cross-discipline design and construction projects
Plan projects in detail, identify scope/budget/schedule/risks, and document in Project Charter
Engage subject matter experts, prepare terms of reference, and manage tendering/selection for technical consulting services
Coordinate inter-departmental review processes for project design drawings and escalate conflicts to senior staff
Execute projects according to approved Project Charters and monitor/forecast/report project status

Qualifications

Formal training in Project Management methodologies preferably from PMI (Project Management Institute)
Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, or Engineering from recognized post-secondary institution, or equivalent education/experience combination
Minimum 5 years industry experience in project management with progressively complex projects leading multi-disciplinary teams, preference in civil engineering and construction
Experience managing complex projects with multiple consultants and contractors simultaneously
Experience in public consultation and conflict resolution with ability to reconcile differing perspectives and develop consensus
