Project Manager I in Transportation will lead multi-modal transportation studies and infrastructure planning projects across Halton Region. The role involves applying engineering expertise to corridor planning, feasibility studies, and transportation network analysis to support regional growth and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake and/or assist with Corridor Planning Studies applying multi-modal and environmentally responsible lens
Carry out and/or review technical transportation network studies, feasibility studies, and transportation-related studies
Provide transportation input and technical support on Regional and partnering agency projects
Cultivate relationships with Halton Region staff through professionalism and responsive communications
Assist with development of multi-modal transportation procedures/policies and prepare staff reports to Regional Council
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Engineering and/or Environmental Studies/Sciences with P.Eng. or C.E.T. certification
Minimum 3-5 years experience planning municipal multi-modal transportation infrastructure
Demonstrated understanding and experience in traffic-related analyses including Synchro, EMME/GTAv4, ARCADY software
Familiarity with Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process and Environmental Assessment Act requirements
Experience with Corridor Planning studies for road widenings, transit infrastructure, active transportation, and environmental impact assessment
