Project Manager II leads region-wide multi-modal transportation studies and corridor planning initiatives to support growth across Halton Region. The role involves managing feasibility studies, technical analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to develop a seamless transportation network.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake Corridor Planning Studies applying multi-modal and environmentally responsible approaches
Conduct and review technical transportation network studies, feasibility studies, and transportation-related studies
Provide transportation input and technical support on Regional and partner projects (Local Municipalities, Metrolinx, Ministry of Transportation)
Develop multi-modal transportation and mobility procedures/policies and prepare staff reports and recommendations to Regional Council
Participate on technical studies and committees
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Engineering or Environmental Studies/Sciences with P.Eng. certification or C.E.T.
Minimum seven (7) years of experience planning municipal multi-modal transportation infrastructure
Demonstrated understanding of Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process
Understanding of Corridor Planning studies requirements for road widenings, new corridors, transit, active transportation, and localized improvements
Experience reviewing and evaluating transportation impacts at network and intersection levels
