Project Manager III for Water & Wastewater System Services in Halton Region's Public Works department. This contract role (up to 18 months) involves leading the development of technical and health & safety training programs, overseeing regulatory compliance, and advancing operator competence and development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development and delivery of comprehensive technical training and health & safety training programs
Oversee regulatory compliance activities to ensure operations meet legislative requirements
Advance training evolution from classroom to in-field and hands-on formats to reduce injuries and increase productivity
Champion operator competence in licensing, system/facility inspections, and compliance activities
Respond to Corrective Actions (CARs) and Preventive Actions (PARs) audit findings in coordination with stakeholders
Qualifications
Post-secondary education at Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree level in relevant discipline
Minimum 5 years related experience in municipal or operations environment with demonstrated experience assessing, developing, and implementing training programs
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult education principles and practices
Excellent oral and written communication skills with knowledge of instructional design for technical content
Detailed knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office required
