Full-time temporary project manager (12 months) for Toronto Water's trunk sewer system, reporting to the Manager Divisional Operational Services and Senior Engineer. The role involves technical review, project management, contract administration, and leadership across operations, maintenance, rehabilitation, and infrastructure planning for municipal wastewater collection systems and erosion control programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and project management for trunk wastewater collection system construction, rehabilitation, operations and maintenance
  • Review and assess engineering designs, drawings, studies, reports, and specifications for compliance with project objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct field investigations and site inspections of underground infrastructure, including confined space entry procedures
  • Manage projects from inception to completion including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
  • Manage project budgets, expenditures, schedules, risks, and oversee external service providers

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of construction, structural design, municipal engineering, hydraulics, and infrastructure planning
  • Knowledge of Federal, Provincial, and Municipal legislation governing municipal infrastructure, wastewater systems, and occupational health and safety
  • Familiarity with structure/asset zone of influence impacts, piling and shoring operations, vibration and settlement impacts
  • Ability to lead assessment, planning, and implementation of infrastructure initiatives
